Qur'an Bible Comparison

As many Christians now are saying that the Islam God and the Christian God are the same, it seemed that studying the Qur'an would reveal the truth. It does. My eyes have been opened. To help others (mostly Christians) see the differences between true and false gods, this web page is dedicated. May God's only begotten son - Jesus Christ - receive all the glory.

34 And when We said unto the angels: Prostrate yourselves before Adam, they fell prostrate, all save Iblis. He demurred through pride, and so became a disbeliever.
Ezekiel 28:17 Your heart was lifted up because of your beauty, you have corrupted your wisdom by reason of your brightness: I will cast you to the ground, I will lay you before kings, that they may behold you.
Revelation 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceives the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
Satan fell BEFORE Adam and Eve were created. No angel has ever been told to worship any man.
This sets the stage for the whole Qur'an - lots of Biblical characters and Biblical teachings appear, but they appear a little twisted. Unfortunately, it seems Mohammed got his information from half-baked Jews & Christians (or else he didn't listen very well).

102 ...teaching mankind magic and that which was revealed to the two angels in Babel, Harut and Marut. Nor did they (the two angels) teach it to anyone till they had said: We are only a temptation, therefore disbelieve not (in the guidance of Allah). And from these two (angels) people learn that by which they cause division between man and wife; but they injure thereby no-one save by Allah's leave....
Not in Bible
Two angels taught bad things to men, but before they taught their magic, they said not to disbelieve? This whole episode seems strange. The reason I added this quote, is that the Qur'an often talks about 2 angels, especially the 2 that gave this book to Mohammed. They seem to be fallen angels.

109 Many of the people of the Scripture long to make you disbelievers after your belief, through envy on their own account, after the truth has become manifest unto them. Forgive and be indulgent (toward them) until Allah give command.
Matthew 28:19 Go therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
Yes, Christians are commanded to go about the business of teaching the truth to all nations. It has nothing to do with envy, as Jesus said this about 600 years before Mohammed wrote his book. Notice the attitude Muslims are told to take -- Just wait until Allah gives the command to strike!

116 And they say: Allah has taken unto Himself a son. Be He glorified! Nay, but whatsoever is in the heavens and the earth is His.
John 14:13 And whatsoever you shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
Allah has no son. God has a son. Are God and Allah the same?

125 And when We made the House (at Makka) a resort for mankind and sanctuary, (saying): Take as your place of worship the place where Abraham stood (to pray). And We imposed a duty upon Abraham and Ishmael, (saying): Purify My house for those who go around and those who meditate therein and those who bow down and prostrate themselves (in worship).
2 Chronicles 6:6 But I have chosen Jerusalem, that my name might be there; and have chosen David to be over my people Israel.
1 Kings 9:3 And the LORD said unto him, I have heard your prayer and your supplication, that you have made before me: I have hallowed this house, which you have built, to put my name there for ever; and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually.
There is nothing in the Bible saying anything about Mecca being sacred, or about this "duty" of Abraham. If the Qur'an is true here, then we are commanded to reverence some physical place in Arabia, and are enjoined to go around it (hajj video and explanation), bow and "prostrate" ourselves there.

134 Those are a people who have passed away. Theirs is that which they earned, and yours is that which you earn.
Romans 11:6 And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.
While it is true we are judged "according to deeds done in the body", no matter what we do, we cannot earn heaven. Salvation is a gift - Thank God!!

>135 And they say: Be Jews or Christians, then you will be rightly guided. Say (unto them, O Muhammad): Nay, but (we follow) the religion of Abraham, the upright, and he was not of the idolaters.
Matthew 19:21 Jesus said unto him, If you will be perfect, go and sell that you have, and give to the poor, and you shall have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.
This is perhaps the biggest trap that many Christians fall into. They know Abraham followed the true God, so they think Muslims do too. But notice what Mohammed says: that he does not follow Christ, but Abraham. He also infers that Christians are idolaters!

136 Say (O Muslims): We believe in Allah and that which is revealed unto us and that which was revealed unto Abraham, and Ishmael, and Isaac, and Jacob, and the tribes, and that which Moses and Jesus received, and that which the prophets received from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and unto Him we have surrendered.
Genesis 16:11 And the angel of the LORD said unto her, Behold, you are with child, and shall bear a son, and shall call his name Ishmael; because the LORD has heard your affliction.
12 And he will be a wild man; his hand will be against every man, and every man's hand against him; and he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren.
John 3:31 He that comes from above is above all...
Two things are interesting about this ayat. First, Ishmael is included in the Holy Men of Old hall of fame - this wild man. The point about "make no distinction between any of them" should be an automatic red flag for anyone who believes salvation comes thru Jesus Christ alone.

190 Fight in the way of Allah against those who fight against you, but begin not hostilities. Lo! Allah loves not aggressors.
191 And slay them wherever you find them, and drive them out of the places whence they drove you out, for persecution is worse than slaughter.
Matthew 5:39 But I say unto you, That you resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite you on your right cheek, turn to him the other also.
Matthew 5:44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
Allah says fight, Jesus says love. Allah says to slay those who persecute you, Jesus says to pray for them.

196 Perform the pilgrimage and the visit (to Makka) for Allah. And if you are prevented, then send such gifts as can be obtained with ease, and shave not your heads until the gifts have reached their destination. And whoever among you is sick or has an ailment of the head must pay a ransom of fasting or almsgiving or offering.
John 4:21 Jesus said unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour comes, when you shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father.
22 You worship you know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.
23 But the hour comes, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeks such to worship him.
So...if you really believe Allah of the Qur'an is the God in the Bible, then you are commanded to make a pilgrimage to Mecca. You may want to get insurance before you go, as thousands have been killed in stampedes over the years (769+ in 2015 alone!), and prepare for animal sacrifices following. At least the camel meat seems to be free!

226 Those who forswear their wives must wait four months; then, if they change their mind, lo! Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.
Matthew 5:32 But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causes her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced commits adultery.
The noble position of the wife in the family is reduced considerably in the Qur'an.

230 And if he has divorced her (the third time), then she is not lawful unto him thereafter until she has wedded another husband. Then if he (the other husband) divorce her it is no sin for both of them that they come together again if they consider that they are able to observe the limits of Allah.
Deuteronomy 24:3 And if the latter husband hate her, and write her a bill of divorcement, and gives it in her hand, and sends her out of his house; or if the latter husband die, which took her to be his wife;
4 Her former husband, which sent her away, may not take her again to be his wife, after that she is defiled; for that is abomination before the LORD: and you shall not cause the land to sin, which the LORD your God gives you for an inheritance.
Remarrying the same person is an "abomination" to God, but within "the limits" of Allah.

244 Fight in the way of Allah, and know that Allah is Hearer, Knower.
John 18:36 Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.
So Allah's kingdom IS of this world. Let him have it. It's all going to burn anyway.

256 There is no compulsion in religion.
Hebrews 12:14 Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:
Great! But how does this mesh with the previous injunction "Forgive and be indulgent (toward them) until Allah give command."? And what about all the fighting commands?

271 If you publish your almsgiving, it is well, but if you hide it and give it to the poor, it will be better for you, and will atone for some of your ill-deeds.
Matthew 6:1 Take heed that you do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise you have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.
2 Therefore when you do your alms, do not sound a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
3 But when you do alms, let not your left hand know what your right hand does:
4 That your alms may be in secret: and your Father which sees in secret himself shall reward you openly.
One God says to do your good deeds in private, the other says to publish it. One says only Jesus can atone for sins, the other says you atone for your own sins.

There are 114 suras (chapters), so just wait until they're ALL compared. Or better yet, don't wait, tell your Christian Brothers & Sisters about the only true God today.
